Bangladesh, the largest exporter of garments globally, recently celebrated its 50th year of independence. Within this short span of time, it has achieved a high standard of excellence in education and research. The world-class universities, top-notch infrastructure, bustling economy, affordable education, scenic views of the Bay of Bengal and a rich cultural heritage make it a preferred study destination.

The most prominent universities in Bangladesh include the University of Dhaka, the Bangladesh National University, the University of Chittagong, etc. Private universities like Daffodil University, etc., have also achieved a great standing within a few years of establishment.  Located in the capital city, the University of Dhaka, established in 1921, is the oldest one. Eligibility Criteria

Students can apply to more than 1225 study programs from over 185 institutes of higher education. Once chosen the desired study course, students have to register on the national portal of Bangladesh, i.e. studyinbangladehs.com.bd. The students can apply to numerous institutes from there simultaneously. They can also take advantage of the numerous scholarship programs offered by the government. 

The general documents required for admission include the academic transcripts or scorecard of the previous three years, letter of recommendation from two different academic persons, resume, and passport. International students need to apply for a student visa for applying to any Bangladesh university.
