China, the second-largest economy globally, has invested heavily in its higher education sector. It is a result of these developments that the Chinese universities now feature alongside the best in the world. Witness to its growing stature, more than 60 universities in China are included in the QS World University Ranking. Located in the southwestern part of the country and the capital of Sichuan province is the city of Chengdu.

Eligibility Criteria

For studying in the universities of Chengdu, students can use the centralised portal, CUCAS (China’s University and College Admission) or apply directly through the official website of the university selected for admission. The Chinese-medium courses require students to take the HSK examination, a language proficiency test. Similarly, performance in IELTS, TOEFL, etc., is considered for English-medium courses. The general documents required for admission include self-attested copies of previous year academic transcripts, letter of recommendation from two different academic persons, resume, and passport. Students need to have a visa valid throughout the duration of their course.
