Jodhpur has a rich history of higher education in India. There are currently seven Universities in Jodhpur, India, and no less than 16 higher-education institutions. The Universities in Jodhpur, India, include the National Law University, Sardar Patel University of Police, Security and Criminal Justice, and Agriculture University, Jodhpur (AUJ). 

The Agriculture University, Jodhpur (AUJ) is considered one of the top Agricultural universities in India and Asia and the whole world. This agricultural university was founded by the Government of Rajasthan nine years ago in 2013 by virtue of the Agriculture University, Jodhpur Act of 2013. AUJ’s jurisdiction covers Jodhpur and extends to five other districts: Barmer, Jalore, Nagaur, Sirohi, and Pali.

Eligibility Criteria 

You can enrol for either undergraduate or postgraduate degree studies in Universities in Jodhpur, India, if you meet the individual requirements of the respective university you apply to.

Typically, having good grades at the secondary school level is required for an undergraduate degree programme. Academic transcripts are also required, and evidence of proficiency in the English Language is a must-have. 

For postgraduate studies, you will need to submit a statement of intent letter, CV, a copy of your Bachelor’s degree certificate, and academic transcripts along with the filled application form. 

International students are welcome to enrol for a degree course at a University in Jodhpur, India. Still, they must apply for a student visa with the Indian High Commission or Embassy in their country of residence.
