Nicknamed the Beloved Land of Sun, Maracaibo is the second-largest city in Venezuela, only after the capital Caracas. It is home to a plethora of universities. The most prominent among them include the University of Zulia (LUZ), Rafael Belloso Chacin University, Cecilio Acosta Catholic University, etc. 

LUZ is one of the largest universities in Venezuela. Students can select from the choicest of subjects, including veterinary medicine, architecture, law, and seven different fields of education. Eligibility Criteria

Students need to apply directly through the official websites of universities. The admission procedure varies from university to university. Generally, admission is granted based on grade trends, the strength of curriculum, English language proficiency and other factors. 

General documents required at the time of admission include academic transcripts of the previous three years, two letters of recommendation, a character certificate from the last institution attended, a detailed statement of purpose, a comprehensive resume, and a passport.

International students need to prove their language proficiency by undertaking TOEFL, IELTS, etc. They need to produce their financial eligibility documents and a student visa valid throughout their chosen study program.
