Wuhan has 21 government-affiliated universities that offer globally-recognized degree programs across fields, including Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Environmental Studies, Business Management, Humanities, Journalism, Law, and Language Studies. The undergraduate course duration is four years, and the postgraduate course duration is a minimum of 2 years. International students can apply for short-term courses or exchange programs based on their interests. 

Wuhan University is the most prestigious university under the Chinese Ministry of Education administration. Providing equal opportunity to boys and girls, this university holds 8th rank in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings with a 4.6 student satisfaction index. Students applying for Engineering and Sciences should choose either the Wuhan University of Technology or the Wuhan Institute of Technology. Eligibility

Applicants under 30 can apply for a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree online. Most universities in Wuhan consider the applicant’s previous academic records during the selection process.

Non-native applicants applying for courses taught in Chinese should produce their HSK Chinese Proficiency Test Scorecard. Also, they are free to apply to courses that are taught in English.

While Chinese citizens do not have to fulfil additional requirements, international students have to apply for a China Student Visa (Type X1 for less than 90 days’ stay and Type X2 for more than 90 days stay). International students can produce a letter of acceptance from the university while visiting the Chinese Embassy. They can then freely study in Wuhan for the rest of the studying period.
